I’ve been having that pre-holiday ‘swamped’ feeling lately. So I didn’t get to post this couch until today. It’s on Parkwood Ave in Pasadena.

I was in Hollywood on Tuesday night for the Skeptic’s Book Club at the Center for Inquiry. When I was leaving, I spotted this couch right across from the center on Berendo St:

I could have gotten a better picture if I didn’t use the flash, but I hadn’t brought a tripod along. My camera takes great nighttime shots if it’s held steady enough.

This one was right around the corner from my house. We don’t get couches in our neighborhood all that often, so this was an occasion of some note:

Couch

Probably because it’s right outside Sunset Gower Studios.

On today’s bike ride, we rode through Whittier Narrows. The road there seems to be a dumping ground for all sorts of trash, since there’s not much of anything along it. And that was where I saw this couch:

Couch

Okay, not so much the couch – but those flowers sure are purty.

Incidentally, this house is notable because the previous tenants threw trash in the front yard last summer – when the pile was about 12 feet tall, the county came out and cleared it away, and then the landlord evicted them.

The current tenants are much cleaner.
