I haven’t been seeing many couches lately (of course, I’ve been standing on set for 14 hours a day – I can’t imagine that’s had anything to do with it), but they seem to be coming back.

On yesterday’s bike ride, I spotted this couch on the side of the 5 freeway, right across from Griffith Park. This one really did look like it fell off the truck:

Then, on the way home, I saw this one, which was not so dramatic. It was on Ave 50 in Highland Park:

I went on a bike ride Saturday. On the way home, I took the ‘scenic’ route through Montebello, and I came across this prime specimen of the abandoned couch:

Apparently, Lincoln Ave is a favorite spot for dumping stuff there, and they had lots of signs along the road announcing “No Dumping”, but it appears that nobody pays any attention to them.
