Jenny Burman at LA Observed’s Echo Park outpost, Chicken Corner, wrote in a post awhile back that she wished we’d do closer shots of some of the couches on the blog.

I haven’t been seeing many couches lately (of course, I’ve been standing on set for 14 hours a day – I can’t imagine that’s had anything to do with it), but they seem to be coming back.

Taken on Ivar near Sunset.

I went on a bike ride Saturday. On the way home, I took the ‘scenic’ route through Montebello, and I came across this prime specimen of the abandoned couch:

Apparently, Lincoln Ave is a favorite spot for dumping stuff there, and they had lots of signs along the road announcing “No Dumping”, but it appears that nobody pays any attention to them.
